Solution
A smarter approach to asset tracking.
Proprietary technology designed to deliver long battery life, precise location and dramatically simpler deployment, without new wiring or dependency on facility LAN.
How SPARQ works
The intelligence starts at the tracker
Unlike conventional tracking solutions that depend on assets being detected by fixed readers, SPARQ trackers actively observe the infrastructure around them and report what they see. This greatly reduces the power requirements of the infrastructure, enabling SPARQ to utilize battery-powered devices and eliminating the need for wired infrastructure.
01Trackers
The asset
Battery-powered trackers uniquely identify each asset, rack or piece of equipment. Trackers actively observe the SPARQ infrastructure around them and report what they see. Proprietary SPARQ firmware minimizes communications and power consumption, supporting multi-year battery life.
02Repeaters
The infrastructure
Battery-powered repeaters act as location beacons while also relaying tracker messages. Multiple communication paths provide redundancy while minimizing battery consumption and removing the complexity of a mesh network through SPARQ's multi-hop star design.
03Cellular gateways
The connection
Plug-in gateways securely move information to the cloud using cellular connectivity. No facility LAN. No new wiring. No network integration.
04SPARQ cloud
The intelligence
Converts tracker observations into actionable location information, from facility/zone visibility to approximately 3 metres / 10 feet of precision.
05Your application
The information
Location information can be viewed through SPARQ applications or securely delivered through APIs to customer and partner platforms.
Built to scale
Less infrastructure. Lower cost. Faster deployment.
Traditional tracking solutions can become increasingly expensive as coverage expands, requiring readers, wiring, network connections and IT infrastructure.
SPARQ is designed differently.
Battery-powered repeaters do two jobs: location beacons and message relay, eliminating separate wired location and communication infrastructure.
One device. Two functions.
Location
Repeaters provide known reference points.
Communication
The same repeaters relay messages over multiple paths to the cellular gateway.
Result: a resilient, infrastructure-light network that can be deployed quickly and expanded economically.
Pay for the precision you need
- ~3 m / 10 ft (precise)
- Zone level
- Facility level
Infrastructure is only added where greater precision is required.
One infrastructure. Multiple applications.
The same network can support racks, tools, equipment, inventory, returnable packaging and finished goods.
New trackers and applications can be added without building another tracking infrastructure.
Price: built to scale.
Lower infrastructure requirements. No new wiring. No facility-LAN dependency. Multiple applications on one network.
SPARQ's low-cost infrastructure also makes it practical to extend the network to suppliers and partner facilities, while permission-based access allows each organization to maintain control of its own detailed location data.
Start with one application. Expand across facilities. Extend to partners as the value grows.
Precision
Built for the application
The right precision. Where you need it.
Not every asset, facility or area requires the same accuracy. SPARQ configures precision to the application, from knowing when an asset arrives at a facility to approximately 3 metres / 10 feet.

~3 m / 10 ft
Precise location
Locate a specific rack, tool or piece of equipment on the manufacturing floor.

Room level
Operational visibility
Know which room contains medical equipment in a hospital.

Facility level
Asset & custody visibility
Know when an asset arrives at a warehouse, supplier or facility.
Precision that scales with the requirement
Precision can vary across facilities and within the same facility. Infrastructure density is increased only where greater accuracy is required.
The right precision. In the right place. At the right cost.
Value
The best device for the application
The right device. Not just one device.
SPARQ does not manufacture tracking devices. We work with established global hardware manufacturers and deploy our proprietary firmware on devices selected specifically for each application.
This gives SPARQ the flexibility to match the device to the asset, environment and operational requirements, selecting the solution that delivers the best overall value and return on investment.

M2
The workhorse
Industrial asset tracker
Rugged, long-life tracker for industrial environments; racks, tools, equipment and high-value assets.

Foamboard
Extending visibility to lower-value assets
A low-cost, lightweight tracker that changes the economics of asset tracking. Foamboard makes it practical to extend visibility to lower-value assets where traditional tracking costs can be difficult to justify, while still delivering a measurable return on investment.

Traveller
Bluetooth + cellular. One device. Continuous visibility.
A multi-protocol device combining cellular reach with SPARQ's highly efficient Bluetooth network. Inside a SPARQ-enabled facility, cellular is effectively shut down, using 40–50× less power while delivering precision to approximately 3 metres / 10 feet. Outside the facility, Traveller seamlessly switches to cellular to maintain visibility throughout the journey.

Visibility beyond equipment
Compact personal device showing the solution can extend to personnel safety, location and specialized applications.
Precision when you need it. Cellular reach when you need it. Battery life measured in years.
Hardware flexibility. SPARQ expertise.
Selecting the right device is critical to the performance and economics of any tracking solution. SPARQ brings extensive experience working with customers to understand their assets, operating environment and performance requirements, then identifying and validating the device best suited to the application.
You define the requirement. SPARQ helps select the right device to deliver it.
Explore all SPARQ devicesComplete visibility. Complete control.
See everything you need. Control what your partners see.
SPARQ provides complete visibility into your assets while allowing you to control what information is shared with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
As assets move between facilities and organizations, each participant can receive the visibility they need, while protecting the operational information you don't want to share.
Inside your operation: complete access.
Authorized users can access the full capabilities of the SPARQ platform: view dashboards, locate assets, complete queries, review movement history, generate reports and analyze operational activity.
You determine who has access, what they can see and how they can interact with the platform.
Across your network: controlled visibility.
Visibility does not mean access to your platform or operational information.
Customers, suppliers and logistics partners see only the information you have authorized them to see. They may know, for example, that an asset is:
They do not automatically gain access to your dashboards, queries, reports, detailed location history or other operational information.
You control what is shared, with whom and at what level of detail.

One asset. Multiple custodians.
As an asset moves between organizations, visibility and custody can move with it. Each participant maintains control over its own detailed operational information while authorized asset information follows the asset throughout its journey.
This creates shared visibility across the network without requiring organizations to expose information they consider private.
Encrypted. Secure. Benign data.
SPARQ communications are fully encrypted from the tracker through the network.
No customer information is contained in the transmitted message. Even if a message were intercepted and decrypted, the data itself provides no meaningful customer or operational context without the SPARQ platform.
Designed for enterprise IT.
SPARQ combines encrypted communications, permission-based access and completely independent cellular connectivity without connecting to the customer's existing LAN, Wi-Fi, servers or facility network infrastructure.
The architecture has been reviewed and approved by IT teams at Fortune 500 and Global 500 companies.
Your assets. Your information. Your control.
Complete access inside your operation. Controlled visibility across your network.
Designed for rapid deployment
Plan it right. Deploy it fast.
SPARQ's infrastructure-light architecture makes deployment fast and straightforward. It starts with understanding the facility, application and required precision.
